I am 50 years old and I love stickers.... is there something wrong with me? I hope you got enough for me to 3... 1 for the car, 1 for the cooler and 1 for the garage.

What is wrong with that?

As this event draws closer I cant even begin to believe how well this has gone. For those of you that are coming. you will be taking away over $7,000 in items and support that our sponsors have donated. There still may be a few surprises to come yet.

We have some really great sponsors that are making this a heck of an event. But I cant wait to see all of those items used to keep the cars that we all love running and looking even better at next years gathering.

So if you are coming get ready for a heck of a good time!

OK I do t know about yours but my current car cover swallows my 914 whole with plenty of room to spare.

Microbead Car Covers has sent us one of their custom fit car covers. This thing has straps to keep if from blowing off, has a UV coating, is water resistant, and has a lifetime warranty!

Going to try it out on my car and get some pictures of it on a 914. This cover is valued at over $200. I think it would make a great prize for many of us!

Anyone up for one of these for your car?

OK guys I mad a mistake. I misread what Microbead sent. Completely my fault!

They sent a Convertible Top Cover as shown below.

But Dan at Microbead really covered my butt. He is providing a select fit cover also. So the winner can pick which one they want. Dan is also sent a limited number of covers that he is giving the attendees the chance to buy at a very good price.

Got the car covers in from Dan at Microbead. Have not had the chance to try it out but it is a quality item. Even comes with a steel cable and lock! Pretty good kit.

Ok time for one of those surprises! All of us know how fanatic our friend Chris Foley is about making quality parts for our cars. Tangerine Racing has already provided some really nice items for Okteenerfest. But that was not enough for a guy like Chris. Tangerine Racing has developed a simple and superbly engineered replacement for the the dreaded engine push tubes.

Attached Image

Anyone who has ever pulled a Type 4 head has struggled with the removal and installation of these rather flimsy tubes. Even after installing with great care you can have leaks. I think that is likely to be a thing of the past.

Chris is sending a set for everyone to see and is providing gift certificates for a sizable discount on the purchase of these. Pretty sure that there are a number of people (besides me) that would love to have a set of these.

Stay tuned. There may yet be more to come!

My oh my can I use those. I have more than 700 miles for home and a lecture in front of 200 nursing students at 7:45 Monday. So we will be off and running before the banquet starts. I don't suppose there is a chance of winning. Hate to leave early but have to take it easy on car and driver. Both are showing signs of age.
