Enough whining about Valentine not attending.... I have the solution!

Since I won't be bringing my 914 this year I'll gladly drive Valentine for you. That way the car can be around it's siblings and I get to go in a 914, Everybody wins! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

QUOTE(naro914 @ Sep 24 2014, 11:54 AM) *

well this sucks...
I have to go pick up Huey at our mechanic. It's raining. Huey has not been cleaned since before the Hillclimb two weeks ago, and just last weekend at the autocross the oil tank breather catch can spit oil ALL OVER the engine. So the engine is a total mess....

So...Huey will be on a trailer later today, filthy dirty, filled with dirt, gravel, etc from the past few weekends exploits...and not get cleaned at all...

Did I mention it's raining? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

So the new site advocate will be giving a tech session on how to proper detail a 914?

QUOTE(Johny Blackstain @ Sep 24 2014, 01:20 PM) *

My camera took a dump on me 2 days ago & now only takes "artful" pictures. Artful as in you just took a huge dose of LSD artful. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Hope this is not a sign of things to come. Knikki is back on all 4 & the test drive was good & she feels strong (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Gassed up, tuned up, rain-xed up, packed up & just about ready to go.
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/creamsicle914.jpg)

After a few beers, those pictures will look perfect!

No way. This advocate is a driver, not a detailer. Might give it a quick wipe down, but that's about it... Heck, even at Peachstate Regions Rennfest full concours, I cleaned the car the morning of....spray detail, soft towel, cup of coffee... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

There may be a few alternate sessions available for attendees.

Short session on sledge hammer custom body work.
Spot fixing small scratches at rallies
How to flip without getting a divorce
How to find and marry the right woman
Paint jobs that don't work...no matter how many stickers you use

Of the 214 LEs on Bowlsby's list, about 54 are either destroyed or can't be verified leaving a total of 160.

So, with 10 of them at Okteenerfest, that is 6.25% of the Can Am cars on the Registry.

The LE cars will comprise 20% of the 914s at Okteenerfest (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

You do know that there are 914 LE Owners out there that don't who Bowlsby is, right? So those numbers are flawed. Heck the Dragon could eat an LE or 2 this Weekend! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Read again, T.C. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) My statement concerns only those cars listed on Bowlsby's site. I am well aware that there are LEs out there not on that list.

Got as far as Indy last night and then alternator stopped pumping electrons met Brad on route and it was nice to have an expert push the car to roll start after he tightened the belt. Didn't want to push on into darkness with a low battery though. Stopped next to SAMs club and they let me buy a jump pack. On the road again.

A big thank you for Bob, Nadine, Steve, Mike, the vendors, and everyone else who made the event such a success this weekend. With approximately 50 cars and 80+ people it was an awesome experience!

Looking forward to 2015!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Ready for next year!
