Bob Saville, Nadine Saville, Steve Schleif, Mike Blizzard, and everybody else who helped - YOU guys are the stars of this whole event. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif)

Clay and I know what it takes to pull one of these off and this one was done with class; with grace; in a spectacular fashion; and everybody seemed to have a great time. I didn't hear one complaint from a single person - and that is equivalent to pulling a hat out of a rabbit!
...
This 914 event ROCKED! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

Thank you, Betty. I appreciate that and am sure the others do as well.

Just got off the phone with Dave at US129photos.com

He is offering a GREAT deal for the 914 group - all images of your 914 at one low price.

Contact Dave at 865-936-5266 for the details. If no answer, leave a message or send him an email at dave@us129photos.com

I would also like to give a high-five to ALL that set up this event and to the vendors that have the same passion that we do. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) Without them these cars would soon be gone.

I have a crazy idea to suggest:

I thought the name tags were great, lots of info, smart to give us 4, had many conversations because of them. Here is my idea.

Could you add our 914WORLD screen name (or whatever it is called)?

tell me to jump in the lake if you want, but we always have a "Good, Bad and Ugly" meeting after projects at work, you can call this my "Good +1"

Thanks again,
Clark (driving "just Plain Red" that had the flat tire)

do you remember me now? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/KMA.gif)

Back in the garage where she belongs. I just wanted to let everyone know that I made it home safely, without any issues.
My brother Jay and I had a great time. I definitely plan on attending next year.

For anyone that did not get a chance to buy the car cover Dan at Microbead said he would honor the $70 price for anyone that wanted a cover. PM me your email and address and I will pass it along so that you get the deal.

Also Dan said he would do a group guy on the custom made covers if there was enough interest.

Can you give details on the cover (materials, weatherproofing qualities, breathability, etc.)? Is it a custom fit for the 914? Any pictures of it on the car? Am interested. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Something that really impressed us this year was the quality of the cars that attended!! That can be seen by the voting which was VERY close in most categories, with most being decided by only 1 or 2 votes.

Congratulations to all the winners!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

Did anyone get any photos of the blue with white accents, 1970 that showed up late Saturday night? Some guy & his girl showed up very late & I think they might have attended the banquet. Rough paint job & a textbook hell hole, but I liked the color combo a lot; blue/white can am look. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Washed 800+ miles of Okteenerfest off of Knikki & now I'm going to jack her up & change my master cylinder & swap out the fuel lines for the stainless ones I got waiting on the shelf. Wish I could get Jim & Mel to come up & detail her for me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

We were either 50 or 51 total 914s @ Okteenerfest, w/ 44 in the main picture. Remember debating that during the banquet w/ somebody (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Great vid Steve; now we need one of us forming the "914" in time lapse w/ the Benny Hill Theme playing in the background. No regular video as this was shot in still images at 1 second intervals and then combined to video.

Going into the event Thursday, there were 49 registered 914s. Then a guy from Florida dropped in and registered to make it 50. At the car show, not all showed up for some reason (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) but FIVE non-registered 914s showed up plus the one that was for sale.

The official word on the count is "over 50 914s showed up for Okteenerfest." (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
Or perhaps it should be "nearly 60 914s" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)
