I've noticed that some 914s have a black "rear windshield holder/targa top holder" thingy, and some have one the same colour as the car. Is there a difference in models, or is this simply evident of a new paint job in which the owner thought it would look better (and rightly so, IMO) to have the piece painted with the car rather than left black?

Thanks,
Cole (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/monkeydance.gif)

Most cars came with the sail panel vinyl, the exceptions would be the early lower line models and the LE's. I prefer no vinyl on the sail panels. It just looks cleaner to me. I prefer the top to be painted the same color also. But that is just my opinon.
