So, for one of the ultimate chick cars (which my daughter drives George, thank you very much)

1998 VW Cabrio

I need to find a drivers side rear quarter panel.
Seems odd, but the whole fender lip rusted out bad, and the rest of the car is fine, if not perfect.

so, my body guy quoted me $800 bucks for a quarter panel, which seems a bit expensive.

Are there any reputable places to buy sheet metal online for consumers, not professional body shops?

I searched around and found a lot in the UK, and a lot of used.
We are looking for a typical new aftermarket quarter...

My guy is a hotrod shop, so this is not really in his wheelhouse for sourcing parts.

Thanks in advance

Try VWVortex Rich. Here is the Cabrio classifieds... Might try a WTB there or asking your question in their Cabrio forum.

Cabrio Parts Classifieds.

Will do, but I was hoping for a new parts place that sells these aftermarket.

Seem hard to find in the US....
Lots of listings in the UK....

Yeah the rears might be tough to find new/aftermarket. Saw a '98 being parted on The Samba but the pics aren't too good.

I know you prefer a new one...but $800...wow!
