Looking for an engine for my 914. Prefer 2.0 or larger. Really prefer a turnkey with all the sheet metal but i'm not picky so let me know what you have.

It's a long block right now. I snagged the carbs and intake manifolds when my RABY 2056 was ready to install (2012).
It has an alternator with new belt, new clutch disc and all the powder-coated tin right now, asking $2,300., as is. I recently bought a set of 40 IDF carbs, intakes and a Sidewinder belcrank throttle system to install on it ... will be looking for $2,800. if I install these components. Here's a pic from back when I acquired it in early 2011 (tranny not included) ... and later in the year when THOMAS and George H helped install it |

2.0 914 engine with carbs?
Did the original poster but your engine? If he passes we are interested. I am working on a farther/son rebuild of a 1975 914 with my boy and the car we are starting with had a pretty tragic engine fire. If your engine is freshly rebuilt 2.0 it would certainly move our project to the drivable stage this summer. Thanks in advance Andrew Conti Drewconti@comcast.net. <--- best way to reach us |

It is a newly rebuilt 2.2L (originally a 2.0L) that came as a second engine when I purchased my '74 914. I don't need it and would be willing to make a deal on it. I have all of the tin and double carburetors for it. PM me if you are interested. Ken |
