I need to put a couple of syncro rings in my tranny. (1st and 2nd) They look pretty simple but whats the scoop on them? Why would a brass ring with a notch cost so much to make?
I am a machinist and can make my own pretty easily if I had the specs on new ones, but is it the material that they are made of that makes them so expensive? Are they bronze or brass or what?
