Ok, I have went on my own "seekret journey" back from the fringe of FUNK THIS episode of Ugmo's Master Cylender dieing on the jackstands to restart my 914 epic qwest. Yes, I was very klose to throwing in the towel.
Then I remembered how much fun cutting steel is! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sawzall-smiley.gif) Firewall hell hole is gone! a big chnck on the long -GONE! Upper wheel house gone! This is on the lil red car. Ugmo is still sitting out side under the car cover till it learns its lesson!
I have a brand new batt tray and support and some nice steel slabs to fill in the holes.

I don't think these are gonna drive to SoCal this April, but I have a hall pass! It is good to BE BACK! (in the shop that is)

it's the sooper sexy running boards isn't it? Ugmo is not an LE... it is only a 73. So not the right years... I was very temped to paint the yellow to lime green and yell TAH DA!!! But that would be evil, even for me...

I like that idea, if it were mine, I sure would. Just because there are no others like it out there. If there were, you would find out pretty quick when all the others start to appear.

Are you saying it is a 73 because of the production date or the VIN number?

seller said it was a "73" I think from the vin it might even be "mostly" a 72... we will know when it comes in for its Rustoration after the red car...
Red car needs a better name too... any thoughts?

Bad rust, where?? Gee, if you can still see the engine shelf, and the hole isn't big enough to drop the ECU into, it's not too bad (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

That's a great car for alot of the salt belt guys.

Thanks guys.
The car under the tarp is a "donor" car. I got it for free with Ugmo. The five lugs are faux Fuchs. The PO started to turn it into a V8 project buy cutting the car apart so now the few good parts are going on the other two. Anybody need doors or front fenders?

WOW, dino, ugmo sure is photogenic. you should post a full side shot of the other side, so that the soopersexy side scoop is visible. but maybe not, as that will just start a panic amongst the members to make their own!

and the photo of the other side of the cutout is where?

oh, and KT, when dino gets around to coaching me through the rust repair on my hellhole, can we use your templates there, too? i like to get permission rather than seek forgiveness...
