Hi all. Turning a ’75 914 into a race car and I am trying to get rid of pretty much everything. The only parts I am not considering selling are; the tub, front & rear hoods, doors, transaxle, fuel tank, and suspension. If I haven’t listed a part you are interested in, feel free to PM me and ask me about it (this car was purchased with most of the parts in tubs/boxes, so including a picture or link to a picture will really help me figure out if I have it. As far as I can tell, I ended up with most of the parts, but I don’t necessarily know what they are.)
If you want something that I have listed but you think my price is out of line with reality, make me an offer. Most of these parts appear to be original, so nothing is in concours condition. If something is really wrong with a part, I’ll mention it in the description. Unless otherwise mentioned, parts that operate using electricity have not been tested. I only assume that they function (& I could be wrong). Anything listed as a pair I really don’t want to split up. I’ll be posting pictures as I can but if you want additional pictures of anything, let me know and I’ll see what I can do (some parts are still installed in the car). If you are local, feel free to let me know if you would like to check out the parts in person. If you’re not local but would like a local to take a look at the parts, I’ll do what I can to accommodate you. I can accept cash and paypal. I will consider a personal check if you are a member in good standing at 914world (if you aren’t, please don’t even ask). I won’t have anything to do with Western Union or any other scammer crap (& I won’t accept checks written for more than the agreed upon price). I want anyone who buys any of this stuff to feel like they got a decent deal, but once again, these parts are used (some are very used) & 40 years old. If you buy something and you’re unhappy with the condition, I am going to be reluctant to unwind a sale (especially if you are unhappy with a defect I mentioned in the description). None of these prices including shipping. I prefer to ship UPS, the post office near me is terribly overcrowded. Chrome Trim – Various degrees of wear and lack of straightness - $20 takes it all. Pic Added 4/20 Charcoal Canister - Seems to contain factory charcoal! - $20 Pic Cigarette Lighter – From the good old days when people smoked in cars – Kind of faded - $10 Pic Climate Control Panel – Face looks okay and controls slide smoothly. Cables are still attached. - $40 Pic 1 Defroster Vents – One has a damaged inlet - $25 for both Pic Added 4/20 Door Handles (Interior) - Chrome is in good condition- $15 for the pair - Pic Drip Tray – Ribbed (for strength!). No cracks but there is some discoloration from exposure to the elements.- $50 Pic 1 Pic 2 Added 4/20 E Brake Handle - Thumb button is missing - $10 Pic 1 Pic 2 Fog Lights - Square Style. $50 Pic 01 Pic 02 Headlight Switch/Hazard Switch/Fog Light Switch – As seen in picture - $20 eachPic Added 4/20 Heater Blower Motor - $50 - Pic Fuel Quantity Sender - Appears to be in good condition - Not tested. $70 Pic Fuel Gauge – I don’t know if this is functional but I have no reason to believe it isn’t. Took at look at it and the bezel has been pried open and reclosed. New price. - Pending Tachometer – I don’t know if this is functional but I have no reason to believe it isn’t. Also has been pried open and reclosed. - Pending Speedometer – I don’t know if this is functional but I have no reason to believe it isn’t - $85 Take all 3 and cluster panel for Headlight Assemblies – Complete as far as I can tell. Covers are primered and appear straight. No rust on any of the components - $75 for the pair Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Jack Handle -$5 - http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d75/stim...zps3ed97d56.jpg Pending Mirror - Appears to be in good condition (1 screw appears original. The other screw is obviously not) - $50 - Pic Added 4/20 Rain Tray Funnels - $10 for both - Pic Seatbelt Warning Indicator – As seen in picture - $10 Pic Added 4/20 Window Regulators - Guides have surface rust. Includes cranks (not pictured) - $30 pair Pic 01 Pic 02 Windshield Wiper Arms – Paint is faded. Paint worn off where wiper blades mount and there is some slight rust - $10 Pic Windshield Cleaner Fluid Reservoir (at least, I assume that's what this is) – As seen in picture (no damage or cracking as far as I can tell) - $20 Pic Wiper Motor Assembly – Untested. - $50 Pic Wiring Harness – All or part. If you want it, make me an offer that makes removing this intact worth my time. Some of the connectors are in poor condition. I also have the following items that I would prefer to sell locally (the car is in Brier, WA): 1.8L Motor (Fuel Injected) – Includes complete set of good condition tins. Engine turns over by hand and seems to be making compression. This supposedly has not been run since being rebuilt. Pic 01 Pic 02 Pic 03 A Pillar Glass & Trim – Glass in good condition. Chrome looks 40 years old - $20 Door Glass – Pretty good condition. $50 for both Pic Rear Glass – Decent condition but dirty at the moment - $30 If you need a pic, let me know but glass photographs badly. Removable Top - $50 Seats – Appear to have been reskinned (unless 914s came with grey cloth center sections). Vinyl is in pretty rough shape. - $100 for the pair Pic 1 Pic 2 If you are local and show up with cash, I am willing to make a screaming deal on multiple parts purchases (especially if the motor goes away). This stuff has sold and is no longer available: Visors Steering Wheel Fuel Pump Glove Box Liner Key, Ignition, & Locks Turn Signal Buckets Center Console Center Storage/Armrest Tail Light Assemblies Cheers, Van |

How much for the engine.Any paperwork on it? Thanks,Carl Hi Carl, First off, I'll be upfront and say that I'm not wild about shipping a motor. Especially a motor that I cannot vouch for (read on)... There is zero paperwork for the motor. The PO claimed it had been rebuilt with zero hours since rebuild. While I know next to nothing about air cooled motors, based upon what I can see by just looking at the lump, this thing was not completely disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled. It's too dirty for that. The engine oil I drained out looked like it was being poured from a fresh jug (which I take to be a good sign), and when I hand cranked it, all cylinders appeared to be making compression. I did not do an actual compression test on it (& since I've already pulled it from the car & removed the transaxle, I don't intend to). Also, I'm not wild about the harness for the FI system. The car came with two ECUs, both of which had been opened and which I assume are inoperative. The engine harness has splices (some of which were obviously accomplished after the engine had been put in the car - a couple of wires had to be cut to remove the motor) and a couple of relays that are almost certainly not stock. This motor is probably best for someone that; already has a full wiring harness, is dying to build their own wiring harness, or, wants a carbureted motor. If all that hasn't scared you off, do you want the FI plumbing and hardware? Do you want the tins? Van P.S. If you're teetering, I can take more pictures (let me know what you want to see). I would also be willing to let you have someone local that knows something about these come and take a look at it. |
