I have found at least four bolts that are under the dash pad in the gas tank areaAttached Image
If I remove them can i pop the upper dash pad out
I loosened the first one in the picture and can move the pad
Not intested in removing glass or gas tank

There are no dash pad screws in the front trunk. Those are to remove the metal dash frame.

There are nuts under the dash (inside) to remove the dash padding (the one with the crack in it). It's a pain in the butt knuckles. Once that is off you can remove the upper pad which is tucked into the lower-inner windshield seal. you need to remove the seal to get a new one in. I haven't done it but I've read it can be done without removing the windshield.

Do a search for dash pad removal. there are some good references with pic's of the nut locations.

Good luck, and (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png)

I've never removed one, but this is very helpful for the future.

It's really not that bad, I pulled mine recently and seems that I had a bit of time finding the nuts on a few but read the thread if it's the same one you can't go wrong.

Don't for get there are 2 screws in the ashtray frame that do go into the dash a little bit. You really don't need to remove them, but I always do, sometimes the dash pad sticks to them.

Red Arrows point to there location.
