Met Marty Dixon today. His shop just opened this week.
From Website: Marty Dixon owner and operator of Dixon's Automotive and Restoration dream has come true of having a state of the art VW restoration shop. Marty 3rd generation VW enthusiast just turning 30 has been turning wrenches and following the VW industry since he was a child. His Grandfather started way back in the seventies working on Volkswagens. Marty's father and uncle continued the tradition and still have Volkswagens within there family. Marty traveled the Southeast selling Volkswagen parts most of his early life. Marty's uncle currently is still in the VW parts business in Central SC which is just about an hour from the new shop. Marty will be stocking most common VW parts and if not in stock most items will be available next day. If you have an interest in having your VW restored or just some work done contact us and we will be glad to give you an estimate. He said he works on 914's too.
