I was doing online traffic school today (San Bernardino needs money again, so watch out) and one of the pics that they put on the page to keep you from nodding off looked very familiar. I had to do a double take, since the pic was from an anti drinking and driving campaign from 2011- just goes to show that you never know where a 914 will pop up...

Anyway, thought you guys might find it amusing

Looks like they were drunk driving without headlights and had to Photoshop them in.

Driving west on Rt 80 last Saturday approaching the Delaware Water Gap I saw a car carrier with five older cars on board.
On the lower ramp there were two(!) 914s ! a silver '73 and a smashed up Irish green 914 6 !
They're out there.

Ahhhh I used to own a 71 sixer Irish Green. I heard though that it got rear ended many years ago. Hope it wasn't the same car. Ironically I just got a Silver 73. Your story is hitting home. To funny.

My 21 month old son picked up a random box of hotwheels at the toy store last week while out with his Mom and one of them was a blue 914.

Of course that is an example of drinking and driving! To get that view you'd be driving down the road standing up with the top off, steering with your feet. using the hand throttle!

Not that I've done that...

Misleading picture. The 914 shifter actually prevents drunk driving.
