Anyone have a good photos of what it looks like? Is the whole strut grey or just the top insert cover? -Steve |

I have real struts, and they're grey. I only have the struts, not the covers.

Hmmm... I cleaned up my parts a little bit last night and ended up with this.
It looks like the whole strut, including covers and steering arm is grey. And I forgot that the brake dust covers and cad plated - they always look like they were painted black! -Steve Attached thumbnail(s) |

The Six front struts are indeed gray as yours is pictured. . they carry a specific "six' part number but are the same Boge strut used on the 911T [with M calipers]. . , IIRC, they were Black on the 911T with a 911 part number.

Does the dust cover have a part number stamped on it? I need to get a set for my struts if they do. Otherwise I'm sure the 914/4 covers will work.

-6's and 911's had plated dust shields. -4's were painted black.

New replacement dust shields from Porsche are black not cad plated. They carry the same 901 part number though.

> New replacement dust shields from Porsche are black not cad plated. Both new info to me- thanks. I'm getting a bunch of other parts re-plated as well, so I'll send these off as well. |
