Took my shifter off and found I am missing this spacer bushing.
Maybe this might help remove some of the slop (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Stuff to trade:
schnorr washers
oil drain plug copper sealing ring

I pulled one from a shifter to check the size.

12mm OD x 8mm ID by 12 mm long.

Closest thing I could find is a drill bushing the is 12.7 mm long with the right ID and OD.

Not cheap at $12 each. It is a hardened bushing.
