Dave, think I enlisted another 914 (maybe 2) to come and a Bug. You should have enough for a separate category.

I've confirmed with the President of the Central Jersey VW Society that we will have at least six 914's in attendance. We will split the class from other Porsche models and go 3 deep for awards. Just 14 days until the show. Looking forward to a big 914 turnout!

...and who might they be?

Our friend from Paramus is out, he'll be heading out to PA for the weekend; and if attended, would probably have been as a vendor.

there's a new guy from Hoboken (silver 75 or 76) we should try to reach out to him if you hadn't already.

Perhaps air drop your vehicle on the field? Only kidding. We have no control over the entrance. My suggestion is to idle your way in and approach the bumps on an angle.

Two guys I met at the PCA event. One was newly acquired (a former racer being converted back to street) and another who brought his 911.

I have not been there this year but last year I went through the camping area which by passed the speed bump. Before you get to the speed bump bare left through the grass. If my car made it anyone's can. I'm am 2.5" to 2.75" clearance.

I am going to try to check it out this Sunday night with at the club preview.

Yesterday we had our meeting at the show site to finalize the plans for this coming weekend. The show field, which is 3 grass soccer fields is in perfect shape. And all the rest of the facility is ready to go. Just some wood to split for the campers and we're done.

I checked the long range weather forecast and it's looking very good.

We are less than a week away!

Hope to see a record 914 turnout. Other air cooled Porsches are also welcome.

I was unable to make it over last night so I'm wondering if any new speed bumps were added? There was only one big one last year where the road went between the two camping areas.

A word about the speed bumps:

The subject came up in our preliminary meeting this past Sunday. We are allowing and instructing lowered cars to drive around on the grass where it's possible.

Weather forecast for Sunday - Sunny, high 78 degrees, 10% chance of rain.

There have been some question as to what day the actual car show is. Here is quick schedule of events:

Saturday Sept 20
- Camping set up
- Party at clubhouse in the evening with band, food, and bar. No cover for band. Food and drinks you are on your own.

Sunday Sept 21
- Car show and awards ceremony.

See Web page for complete details:
