I have a silver roller, and I have decided on keeping it silver.

I don't remember where I picked up this picture, but I modified it and I'm thinking of doing something like this... Silver with blacked out chrome.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) I love your car Jim, I actually have another shot of it as my wallpaper right now! The Boxter wheels really set it off too. Now about those late model bumpers, don't you know someone who needs a boat anchor...........or two? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

Just watched the bio on James Dean...they figured the guy that pulled in front of his silver spyder never saw him. Speed was also a factor, but none of us do that.

I've always gone for brite (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/mgw.gif) colours

I also turned my fogs into daytime running lights, I'm keeping my sidemarkers and I'm thinking about adding a third brake light.

Having little kids makes you paranoid.

Imagine this:
You just spent 6 hours clay barring, then polishing, then washing, then waxing and detailing your black car.
You are pissed that all you can see is imperfections, and while you are finishing the back of the car, the front is already dirty.
I will never own another black car again.
They look great for the 20 seconds they are clean.

Black will show all imperfections in the bodywork much more so than silver.

I was up against the very same question; silver or black? Every time I said no more black cars for me, I'd either think of my original blk/blk '73 I bought new, happen across a nice pic of a black car on this Forum, or see a stunning example of a well kept black (any) Porsche. However, living on the edge of the desert in SoCal is not the place to own black, BTDT.......It's like climbing into a furnace! This is light color country. So silver it is. Not to derail this thread, but which silver works the best on a 914? The ones' I've considered are: Silver Metallic, Arktissibler metallic (arctic, I assume), and Meridian metallic. All are Porsche colors. I'm leaning Arktissibler. Agree, Jim's car is a nice silver!
