The blue one is my car and is enroute to me in Chicago. The orange car was delivered to another guy, also in Chicago. Not sure who got the white one. The guy who does these cars does them one at a time. He is a hobbiest that does these "restorations" one at a time out of his home workshop in Salt Lake City.
Good guy to work with and he will give you pretty much whatever you want. On my car, I put in a 911 front suspension along with larger Boxster brake calipers up front. I also had him reinforce the trailing arms since I am contemplating a 6 conversion down the road. The flares are steel and he does a nice job on welding them onto the car. Both engine and tranny were refreshed. The engine was fitted with 96 mm jugs which gives you 2056 cc. Though he quotes 3 to 4 months to complete a car, mine took a little bit longer since I made a number of changes to the build requirements. Though I believe he will work with a donor car from the buyer, he does have an "ample" inventory of 914's from which you can choose. I was very satisfied with his skills in doing my car. Can't wait for it to arrive the end of this week. |
