I Have a set of steelies that are chromed ,the chrome is badly pitted so i want to strip the chrome of and spray them,what's the best way to get the chrome of

There's not really a good way. Chrome is very hard and doesn't sand well. Steelies are cheap, get a different set. Or you could take them to a media blaster. They probably can't get all the chrome off, but could make it rough enough for paint. |
