pretty well kept but I see many sixes for 75-80 large that come in the running so if he wants to sell it at that price I think he needs to throw in the goodies! Not to devalue a truly beautiful driver. Really gasburners aren't that rare? But what do I know maybe it all came out of the factory with each and every one of those bolts.There are very few 914-6 in true concour form!

I have been contacted by qualified buyer. I have a question. Does the 2.0 still have it's carbs or are they on the 2.2 and re-jetted?
This car has been for sale a long time. Maybe that is saying something. Is it the car? the price? the approach? I can't help but say what others here haven't seem to be able to do. You make it sound like there are buyers falling off the trees to buy the 2.2. There is little difference with the 911 guys hunting for their numbers matching engine than a 914-6 guy hunting for their numbers matching engine. Unless you have the chassis for the engine there is little benefit in installing the wrong 2.2 when you can get a 3.2 for less than half the price of that moon pie. I know a guy that was told his 2.2 was worth a fortune until he tried to sell it in the open market. Then everyone vanished. I hope your not glossing this up to the estate. Sounds like they need someone to help them come to terms with what they have and let them move on. Sure you can nickel and dime it out if you own the stuff and have the connections but it doesn't sound like this is where the family is at. Package it up and move it all out the door. Give this family some closure. |
