Running that fast on roads is no different than the great races of long ago.
Really a lot of fun to test your skill level with a 914 you have built yourself.
Some of the sections are quite fast, but that doesn't frighten you.
In the future,a Targa Newfoundland story to go with your 914-6 may enhance the value as a race veteran.

The video above "2006 Stage 1-2 North Harbor" is me and Nadine in our 914/6 'Huey'. The event is like nothing you could ever do...it is SO much fun, so challenging, so amazing...

we ran 2006 and 2007...did not have a good 2007... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

A friend of mine is doing it in a Chevy Truck

Google "Targa Truck" and you should find him - Wicked Build on an Old Truck!

Funny thing,
When we spectate at sporting events it seems the expectation is to see disaster.
Flames,spinning hulks,flying debris,you know,disaster.
I think they made a tv series on the subject.
How do you dunk a Ferrari?Race at the Targa Newfoundland.
Yeah, sure looks the blast, also looks real scary at speed. Not the usual parking lot scramble.
Those videos are terrific.
I suppose the total number of 914s participating to date is less than 10.
Glad to see some footage of 914 performance.
May be a good way to test and market a product, with the in car videos and testimonials of enthusiastic drivers."shifts real good"
When jotting down a bucket list where would you place the Targa Newfoundland.

I viewed the exploits of "Huey" some time ago, while lurking on mid-engine sites.
The sound of the engine in full song is likely what influenced me in purchasing the 914 I have today.
Thankyou.

Old truck is a relative description. Why,I can recall driving a showroom loaded with potato seed out to the back 40.
That's gonna be a blast.
