Nice!

These are mine:

(IMG:http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/fotos/15012004205549.jpg)

They (BAS) say it has been lightened by some 120 gram, but these measure up also around 655 gramm (!) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) . Without bearings tho.

Regards,
Walter

Nice work!

Make sure you run the ARP upgraded bolts!

The H beam rod that we are getting buyers for is a 400 gram rod, out of the box.. It installs right out of the box for 280.00 per set and has ARP bolts as a standard!

I, agree, those are nice, and the ARP bolts are a good idea,
but the replacement ARP bolts for the 2.0 rods were $110 to $130 for 4 rods. Prices on ARP products just went up, not alot, but still. I found that big block Chevy 3/8 rod bolts will work, but the rods will have to drilled then resized. Big block Chevy 396 3/8 ARP Wav Loc bolts, are now abut $45, and thats for 8 rods, also it's a good idea to get the 12 point nuts, they are additional $2 apiece, even better, the 3/8 ARP 2000 for 8 rods about $80, and they come with the 12 point nuts.

Or, even better yet, a 400 gram rod. Are they going to be offered in different lengths? And different pin sizes? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smash.gif)

I have a ton of different ones available right now for my VW and Chevy journal cranks with various pin diameters..

As long as I get 50 orders for rods I can make any damn rod you want! The ones we are working with ordering now are an exact replica of a 2.0 rod but in an H beam design with the ARP bolts and the weight differences with much better ridgidity.

I'm working on making a Subaru journal crank now and if so I will have another special rod for my biggest engines.

I think these customized 2.0L rods would be cooler if they had the holes drilled in them to save more weight!

Here, you want some holes, these are made with holes, not drilled, they were made by MECH ART, no longer in business.
