Some had one between the seat (driver /Pass. reach) and on the Cowl for the Saftey Crew easy access. You could kill the power either place to the electricals and or spark to Flame in case of a Stint |

Does the Bosch unit have 2 or 6 connections?
If it only has 2, you can fry your altenator by using it... And it may not be legal if your racing it |

So, if it only has 2 connectors would there be any danger in using it once the engine is turned off on a mostly street car. Also where can I get that "OFF" sticker with the volts symble? And don't worry about the hi-jack - it's exactly what I want to do too.

I was refering to location of the battery, not the switch...FIA stated that it would carry a spare tire in the GT Class, and if you know anything about the GT cars, you know it was between the oil cooler shroud and the 100 liter fuel tank. When the car is up against barrier, smashed to HELL, maybe even on fire (electrical or otherwise), who cares about an alternator. This switch was strictly for saftey. If you are worried about your alternator in a motorsport type accident, I am not sure I understand. Reason would tell you that this switch will work for anti-theft, just don't use it to switch off your car, use the key. GT Racing has the vintage type decal for the kill switch... http://www.gt-racing.com/catalog/default.htm (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/stones.gif) |

Musta missed that while speed reading (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)
Most racing sanctioning bodies require a 6 connection kill switch now a days... |
