Gustl, Thanks for the advance notice. I bought the 914-4 and will get the six when its available.
The orange body looks pretty good, but the wheels don't look accurate. The Fuchs five spoke must be a difficult wheel for model makers. I have not seen one that really looks right. I'm referring to plastic models by Fujima, Revell, Monogram, etc. as well as the diecast makers. In this case the wheel diameter looks too large and the shape, well, is not correct. I think the wheel on the 914-4 is better. Revell got the shape right even if the diameter is too large. |

I'm still waiting to see 4 to 6 conversions. These come apart pretty well and with all of the various Porsche models out there, I'd think more would try their hand at it.

I'd say a group buy would be possible, but I think shipping cost would kill the deal (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/idea.gif) remember, I'm from Europe - and I bet it will be available in the States, too ... but we'll see (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) |

AutoArt will come with several 1/18 914-6 scale models, too - including 9141430139 (Monte Carlo '71, 3rd place, Bjorn Waldegaard / Hans Thorszellus) 87175 - 914/6 GT (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) 77931 - 914/6 green 77932 - 914/6 orange 77933 - 914/6 red 77936 - 914/6 white with Softtop (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/blink.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif) as far as I know this brand is well known for highly detailed scale models this leads to relatively high prices - in germany they say, about EUR 70 for each of them (that's about $ 90 (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif) ) |
