Well, yes, some of our 914 brethren can be rather "creative" when it comes to finding ways to circumvent various issues. This poor chap decided it was best to take a cut-off wheel to his inner adjuster cover.

The good thing is, this dipshit solution is up against the control arm so nobody will see it. And, it's kind of a no harm no foul thing (well, obviously there's a foul because we can't sell this beauty as an A-Stock unit) because, it doesn't affect anything and it's been recoated with a nice layer of zinc dichromate.

Look at it this way; this garage monkey just saved you 30% off an otherwise amazing caliper. Freshly zinc plated throughout. New ATE seal kits. Vibratory polished pistons with ultrasonic cleaned and lubricated adjuster mechanisms. Recoated tops and re-assembled and torqued with loving care.

You can inquire via private message, that way nobody but you and your caliper stylist will know the secret. Yes, we have the left side to match but it's not a b-stock and it's not $97.00 clams. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
