I currently have my OP and CHT gauges just sorta wedged into the DIN radio box opening in my dash. I have no plans to put a radio in the dash, thinking any sound system I install will be a hidden amp and ipod hookup. Thinking of making up a plate to cover the radio opening that consists of gauge holes. Two for sure, but I keep thinking three will just look better, so might ad an oil temp gauge.

Has anyone done this? Would like to see pics to get an idea of how it would look.

I put the gauges in where the ashtray goes. Fit pretty good and were quite accessible.

That's because you used the original clock, and the other gauges are aftermarket. The newer gauges are smaller than the 914 center console gauges.
