I've pretty much settled into a predictable routine that has me identifying weeks in advance which upcoming weekends I have free for major repair efforts and those that I do not. I'm sure I'm not the only one:

Saturday/Sunday: Try to fix / repair a bunch of stuff with the parts I ordered last weekend. Achieve about a 70% success rate. 30% of the parts don't get used (at least not yet), and go into the "surplus parts boxes."

Sunday Night: Identify the other repairs required and parts I need before next weekend. Load up my shopping cart at the various friendly vendor websites we have in the 914 community and place the order.

Thursday when I get home from work: It's Christmas! Look what Pelican/Tangerine/AirCooled/CIP/etc./etc. sent me!

Saturday/Sunday: Try to fix / repair a bunch of stuff with the parts I ordered last weekend. Achieve about a 70% success rate. 30% of the parts don't get used (at least not yet), and go into the "surplus parts boxes." Hmmm... are those boxes getting bigger? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

And on and on. SirAndy would possibly call this a "Teufelskreis."

But I love it. Particularly if I get to drive it copiously in between.
