Theres a white 914 on ebay with flared arches and a very large engine.does anybody know of this car it;s history and condition

I agree, ad needs a lot more pictures. No idea what the front looks like or the condition of the trunks & hell hole. Looks like a lot of work went into the conversion & one has to wonder why not a 350 cubic inch V8 instead of the 4.3 litre? They're practically the same size engine & well built 350's are more than plentiful.

One generic question I have that you might be able to advise on is about fibreglass arches rather than steel... pros and cons and implications?

Fiberglass flares...

Pros: no rust, lighter than steel, easier to repair

Cons: generally viewed as less of a return on your investment than steel when it comes time to sell your car.

But what do I know. I've got fiberglass flares and bumpers....
