If the pads fit otherwise (especially the thickness), drill the hole. I've done it for years.

I'm not sure that anyone makes pads with the asymmetric holes any more.

Also note that PMB is making the 914-6 rear calipers in aluminum, which
has all holes for pins the 'small' type. Then pads work without modifications. I had the reverse problem, had some new pads that I had drilled and went to install in the fancy new calipers and doh! |

Thanks all.
> Also note that PMB is making the 914-6 rear calipers in aluminum These were refinished by PMB, but are original 914-6 calipers. -Steve |

Out of curiosity... what does this # signify? My 6 calipers have a 1 on the left and a 3 on the right? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Hmmm... I have no idea. > pin Yup, just haven't had it down on the ground yet to torque that nut. > The OG pads it mattered which was the leading edge, not anymore.. These pads do have an arrow on them noting wheel spin direction. Hopefully they work when backing up too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) -Steve |
