It was a great day at Area51Werks! I finally got to meet a great resource for 914, 911 and 365's. I wish I had more time for our meeting today. There is so much to learn. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif)

So that's what he looks like!! Good to put a face to the name. Lotta 914 (and other Porsche!) knowledge locked up in that head there...

Yes, we have corresponding for years but never met. Dave lives north of the border and collects Porsche vin, chassis, paint code and engine numbers. As well as anything else that is obscure and allusive. Nice to put a face to a name. We talked cars and numbers and I gave him the tour.

Had a good visit, but it was WAY too short. Rick and Sandy made me welcome, thanks.
Later in the day I met with Bob Fleming, an early 911 Guru. So a fantastic Porsche day.
I'll have to plan more visits when I travel.

Dave, Mike Galloway, John and I had dinner with Jeff Bowsby earlier this year. I was just introduced as 'Mark". I'm sitting beside him yapping away, half way through our meal he says something like "Holy...your Mark Henry, you're not what I expected"
I don't know if that was good or bad. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Then there was the first time I met Evil... he wasn't what I expected...he was uglier. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Dave is cool, a lot locked up in that big brain of his.

The Alien is a realy nice car. Would love to get a ride in that.
The Limo was covered up, but Rick discussed his plans for it.
Sandy's Ravenna car is very nice as well.
The Raspberry car will be stunning when finished.
The original six looks to be very solid except for the crash damage; unrusted cars are pretty rare.
The bullet lodged in the head of the 912 is rather amusing; it should turn out well also.
A very nice collection there. I'm trying to figure out how to get a car or two down to Duluth in the future.
