Good morn fellow 914ers i have fixed the cable problem with all of your help and ideas,i want to thankyou all for that .Now todays is different i went to start it today it started but does not idle at all which is not really a problem that can be fixed. What is the problem is that cylinder 4 the one i had valves done replaced and machined is spurting gas out of the carb port.Im really at wits end with this, are there any of our members in Colorado springs that might want to come by somethime and look at this with me or have a great mechanic down here i can take it too,i need a bit of help with this im running out of books and ideas...lol thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Attached Image

Gas coming out of the top of the carbs usually indicates that the valves are out of adjustment on that cylinder.

You should readjust the valves on all 4 cylinders and go from there ...

Hopefully one of the guys in the Springs will pipe in soon. There are several down there and one says he has found a good mechanic. Try joining the local group on Yahoo. We have about 180 members last time I looked. That'll contact the local crowd directly.
