They are identical and have same numbers but this spare I bought that had been taken apart cleaned by a world member looks like brand new. BUT the rotor is aligned 180 degrees off for the other one when installed? Can this be changed?
If so , how? |

Remove the part at the bottom of the shaft and rotate it 180.
Remove the spiral spring. Clamp the two nubs in a vice. Drive the pin out. Rotate the shaft 180. Reassemble. |

Hmmm... don't you just need to take the dist out, rotate it 180 and put it back in?

No clearance for the vacuum capsule. Do it right, do it once.

I went home last and double checked the bottom of the distributor and the top of the drive... sure enough, the tabs are slightly off center (so it only goes in one way). I always thought it could go in either way! Always something new with these 914's.
