Suggestions are requested from experienced interior guys as to what to do with my firewall. A stock pad is out of the question.

OMG! That color (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/barf.gif) ... Bad '70s shag... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/barf.gif)

For my first 914, i found a local carpet wholesale and they had some black automotive carpet for $10/yard (7' wide or so) and put that along the back. I must say with the inclusion of those who posted pictures on the board, it looks great, very clean, light weigh, and simple.

My next 914-6gt is getting a complete black sythetic suede with red stitching. It will be sick! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rocking nana.gif)

IF I avere get around to doing my car I found an awesome ox-blood red leather that is "clouded" as the guy described it, with some faint black. Looks a lot better than it sounds, it's darker than the Porsche brick red interior, but not really a maroon. GT car in silver with that red leather (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/drooley.gif)

I'd just give it a coat of wax, it's gonna be hard to come up with something that is going to look better than that fresh paint and evidence of your handiwork...

That is my EXACT next project. I wanted a silver 6 with ox-blood interior.

...now back to the current project...ugh.

I stated the wrong name. I actually want the " China red ".The ox blood may be too dark,it's hard to tell on the pooter. I found the guy thanks to Scott kline. It's who he bought his piece from on e-bay. Sellers store name is Leather Empire. Go check out that red!! He also has a cherry red that is more of a Boxter interior color. Oh and then theres the green and the blue and the........DAMN I need some more $$

I need to find someone local that can put it together for me reasonably.

Tried it myself a few weeks ago on the arm-rest....catastrophy! If I can't re-cover an arm-rest...I'm out of my league.
