The layout is being done up now. I still think the background colors should follow the globe lines. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) |

Making individual boxes that follow the curves just for 'perfect' artwork would take too much time. This is what it looks like without the graphics. It would still need to be adjusted to be a production file as it's got all sorts of flaws. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/lh6.googleusercontent.com-431-1418155000.1.jpg) |

Looking forward to having one of these
It should compliment my Porsche club badge nicely on the other side of the number plate (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Attached thumbnail(s) |

We have matched the colors to the German flag, here's the layout.
The recessed metal and gold are the same, just on different levels. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Entire vote is invalid. There is no rust on the badge.

You know I pulled the original as it was voted on and the wire frame was more work. I totally missed it. I did intend to pull the spoiler. Guess it's nice to get you guys to proof for me. Sometimes I'm just too close to see the elephant.

Oh well, i guess i should have been more clearer with my comments. I meant to fill the curved section of the globe center with red so the red follows the curved globe lines. I didn't want the red to be straight and i certainly didn't want additional gold outlines on a straight red. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) |

We have matched the colors to the German flag, here's the layout. The recessed metal and gold are the same, just on different levels. WTF Mike?? I give you corrected artwork, you don't use it. I offer to make a production file, you don't take it. The original post of this submission states the intention of the design that was constrained by time and software. Voters comments confirm the desire for the intention of the design. The spoiler car logo is owned by 914turbo.com (Me) and cannot be used by 914world. |

I never got the corrected artwork. I did get the file with all the extra goodies. I pulled the image from the voting page and sent to my guy to work on. We needed to specify colors and as this is a German car thought it appropriate to match the flag. The comment on the spoiler being deleted was taken as most cars don't have spoilers, so why have it. I'm just trying to get these done as quickly and efficiently as I can. So we are not using the spoiler logo. Is there a problem? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) -mark |

I can't wait for these. I'm going to get a handful. Will there be only one badge or variants of one? I like the gears. Nice job all around.

Dec 11th I sent you this dwg file even though you only asked for the globe lines. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/lh3.googleusercontent.com-431-1419134931.1.jpg) Then I don't hear from you until today when you post this... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-3348-1419055655_thumb.jpg) I have made it quite clear that the original was a rushed idea and that I would need to make changes, but you don't seem to be paying attention. I have repeatedly offered to make the production file for the maker only to be ignored. I have advanced fabrication experience with a cnc router, I can build a file nobody needs to touch if I knew your guy's production method. You've gotten yourself more involved then you need to be. |

I'm sorry,
I was not ignoring you. I didn't see the file and proceeded to make these available. They will not have the tail, and will be as Andy put forward on the last reply. I actually wanted to sponsor this to make it happen. It's not a for profit thing. It's about making something that we all want to show who we are as a group. I offered to do so as I have distribution and the ability to add in with orders as they go out. I'm bearing all the set up and manufacturing cost. To be honest, I do hope that it encourages guys to buy other stuff off the site, but if all they want is the badge that's ok too. It's about $1800 out of pocket, and it may be awhile before I get it all back, buy I'm ok with that. I'm not trying to piss anyone off, just make some badges and have some fun putting this together, so why is this a problem? I'm not trying to offend you personally. Mark Attached image(s) |
