I'm working on my car and getting it ready for paint. I want to remove the hood hinges and get them painted. I have tried twice to remove them but I'm reluctant to apply too much force for fear of breaking the bolts. I thought about spraying them down with something but it is difficult to get the product (WD40 etc) in to the nut area.

I tried some map gas but no luck.

Any ideas?

Thanks

David

Use a 1/2 ratchet to get some leverage. If they break I can send a replacement set with shoulder bolts of the cost of postage.

Get some PB blaster behind it, the thread are hidden.
Use impact, like an air impact gun or an electric one.

Arm strength will break them, impact will not.
