I've had the complete 'mad max' up for sale on the cars section, and have an offer to split the chassis from the engine for a guy's -6cyl conversion.
Which leaves me with a very VERY nice 2.0L engine. It has fuel injection, all new injectors (<1 yr old), ECU, complete and ready to drop into your tired 1.7L chassis! It is a strong runner that McMark did the initial diagnostics on - and the compression was excellent across all 4 cyls. Don't recall the numbers, I have them somewhere or we can re-do. Did not do a leakdown. Engine pulls strong with great low end grunt. We've taken off the smog stuff (gasp!) and plugged the air injection ports. The set-up is currently running with 1.7/1.8 heat exchangers and a monza exhaust, although I do have a 2.0L EMPI exhaust for it. Complete with Tin - don't know the miles. The story from the PO was that he picked it up at auction from a wreck, a guy was racing a 5.0L mustang and did not avoid the tree - apparently he was ahead at the time! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) This is a great engine....very lively. Strong runner, fires right up. I'm thinking $2k OBO? |
