Who is the best shop in the general Chicago area who really knows 914-6 and early 911 motors with carbs.
Looking to have original Six motor taken from storage and re-installed in car. Would prefer to have someone we know and trust. . also any info on who not to trust if there are any MotorMister type places there. Thanks for any info . . Two amazing assets in the north Chicagoland area, Sol Snyderman @ Perfect Power in Buffalo Grove and Larry Marzano at Precision Porsche Service in Spring Grove. They both know 911 engines and 914-6s. If central Illinois is easier for you, Brad Mayeur at 914Ltd. is a wonderful asset and certainly has forgotten ore about these cars than we'll ever know. Also easier on the wallet than the Chicago shops. Any of these folks will provide excellent, honest service and truly love these cars.
