I would like to replace my front trunk springs with gas shocks. The problem is most gas shocks the relaxed state is open. However to replace the spring with out changing the design requires a gas shock that is closed in the relaxed state

This is where I need some help from my fellow 914world members

I need the measurements of the spring on the car with the hood open & closed. The delta of these will allow me to order the right spring. My car is in pieces and getting ready for paint

Thanks

David

The easy way is to remove the springs, and use the struts on the hinge mount and the hood itself. Camp Counselor Craig from Camp914 has a kit that does just that.
