1974 2.0 L, original D-jet FI. This car has become very difficult to start when cold. It almost wants to catch, but does not. After 15-20 tries, will finally start, then I need to keep feathering the throttle to keep it running. Once warmed up, it runs perfectly. It's been recently tuned up with valves adjusted, new plugs, wires, pertronix, timing set. Started better when weather warmer, but it is in a climate-controlled garage.
Tech tips says either the cold start valve or bad check valve in the fuel pump. Any other ideas? Thanks, Bill |
