I'm hooking up my shifter so I can drive my car but I have a clearance issue with the firewall bushing. The gears the require the shift rod to slide forward, 1,3,5, will not fully engage. My car is early with a sideshift trans. I have a Tangerine Racing firewall bushing installed. Do I have the wrong part?
I pulled the shift rod before I took the pics, but it is definatly hitting. I machined the end for a little more clearance, but it needs more.
Any Ideas?
