for years I've chuckled whenever my eyes have come across the "coat hangers" in our cars. But until today I'd never taken that next step and actually tried to use them. On my way home from work today I stopped to pick up some dry cleaning and on the way out to the car, I smiled to myself and thought "alright, let's see if this thing works or not".
I can now confirm that it is not possible to hang a hanger on our coat hook. at least not w/o bending the hanger significantly. hmmpf. so much for german engineering, I guess. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

They're not meant to be used with an actual coat hanger.
They're meant to be used without, just using the fabric strap and work fine that way. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) |

....we have a coat hook? Just above the upper seatbelt mount on the trim piece. It's a metal hook with a removable plastic cover. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-12831-1410638612.jpg) |
