Today I was stripping the 76 down and saw this box inline with the speedometer cable. I assume it has something to do with the emissions control but what would use the signals off this box?

actually man i think its a timer for the CAT/EGR check thing....apparently it will illuminate a service light every X miles....at which point you have to reset the switch, by the fuel pump in the front trunk...there we go man.
