Can Bosch build a starter that won't fail within a year?
Twice this year, I've had the connection between the solinoid and starter motor break on these remanufactured pieces of doodie. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bs.gif) |

I got my hi-torque starter some 12+ years ago and it still works much better than any of the stock starters ever has.
It has turned over everything from a 1.7L to 1.8L to 2.1L to 3.6L engine. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) 14 years for me...
I have three or four 911 starters in the attic. They came off of both the 914 (as a 2.7 and a 3.6) and my 911. Now all I use only high-torque versions since originality isn't important for me. Never going back... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |
