Specific to a 6 ?
New to me. The cap is wrong for an early car. It should have a rounded upper edge, not square |

Looks like the same reservoir in my 73 914-2.0 Jonathan.
I don't think they were model specific - only the MC was 19mm vs. 17mm on the /4's. EDIT: I stand corrected, Dave said they have different part nos. for -6 & /4. |

Still have the side shift mount brackets?
I am trying to convert to side shift and need it all. I was told that I need from the shifter back, is that right? I have an early 71 914-4 1.7 Any other parts? Let me know, thanks. Rick |

I have an early 71 914-4 1.7 Any other parts? Let me know, thanks. Rick Hey Rick: I have a 71 as well and have the pieces for my conversion which includes all of the parts shown in the 914 factory service manual (in Controls Section) If you want to, send me your email in a PM and I will forward the diagram and details from the manual to you today. Also, Bruce Stone has a host of hard to find parts for this conversion as well as the required bushings and one-use retainer pins (new) for you to complete this fairly simple task. |
