I use to listen to Mark on his show on AM970 - WFLA, but now he hosts The Morning Magazine on AM1040 - WWBA. Mark was looking for a buyer for his mint Orange '73, so I put him in touch with the guy in Conn. who was (previously) looking at that eBay LE in Ft. Meyers that I did a PPI on. The guy flew down for business in Orlando and drove to Tampa to see the car. A bit of chin and head scratching, some grunts and groans, they both made nice-nice and the car was flatbedded to Conn. Mark's looking for a Boxster now; he wanted A/C and I told him I'd shoot him in the balls if he hacked up that '73, ergo the sale. |

Rouser,
Are you sure you're talking about Mark larsen? The guy with the very nice signal orange '73 914 2.0 at Dave White's Swap Meet last year was Mark Zintel. The reason I know this is because I used to own that car before Mark did. I sold the signal orange 914 after I purchased the sahara beige 914. |

Hmmm, I did not know that.
Quote: Too bad he sold out. Ah so what, I believe he's a liberal anyway. |

Mark Larsen stated he purchased the car from you, and has since sold it to Michael A. Stroz from Conn. I haven't spoken to Mark recently, so I don't know if he's purchased the Boxster yet. I'm sure he would be insulted to be called a Liberal; he's more of a conservative-leaning Libertarian, which means he talks about politics without every-other-word being "BASH BUSH!" My sincere apology Mark, for the unsubstantiated characterization.

Steve, Mark's show is over by 9:00 am so I could see how you wouldn't be able to tune in to him. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/lol2.gif) Paul |

I'll be there. My 914-6 won't be. My dad died today and I have to go home to Watkins Glen in the next couple of days, so the reconstruction gets delayed again. I decided not to work for Skip in Savannah that weekend just so I could be with you guys. Plus it will give me a chance to go the HSR event in Sebring too. Anybody up for a drive to Sebring after breakfast?

Really sorry to hear about your dad TC.
I'm sure I'd be for the trip to Sebring but I don't think I'd be willing to drive the 914. Which means if we leave directly from the breakfact I wouldn't be able to bring a 914 to the breakfast. |
