On Rennlist last year, someone posted a thread with the title "Are 911s Chick Magnets?"
The general consensus was a big fat "NO." The vast majority of people that want to talk to you about your 911 are other guys. However, I have noticed that lots of women come up to me in the 914 to ask about the car, with a big smile. I guess they see it as cute, friendly, and welcoming. It's sort of like walking along the beach with a puppy on a leash, as far as I can tell. A couple days ago as I was driving along the coast, someone called over and said "That's one sexy car!" Thoughts? |

Funny thing about it. I had a '73 2.0L back in 2005 - 2006, kinda grayish silver, actually a GM color, that attracted young women. Often they would stop and stare as I drove by, in parking lots they would come up and ask about it, make comments like "cute" and "cool". Many times wives/girlfriends with their significant others would start a conversation with me in a parking lot or at a stop light.
Then I sold it and got a '70 Irish Green /6. Nothing.... not a peep. No stares, no questions, no comments from the ladies. Some guys will ask about it or say cool car. Both were stock in appearance. |
