I hope to make it.
Driving my daughter home from Texas. Sitting in PDX waiting for my flight right now. Old fashioned road trip. No plan, no reservations. Driving a Kia Rio filled with shoes. LOL. |

I hope to make it. Driving my daughter home from Texas. Sitting in PDX waiting for my flight right now. Old fashioned road trip. No plan, no reservations. Driving a Kia Rio filled with shoes. LOL. Looks like we'll make it. I was having my doubts after driving thru the ice and snow in Texas. Drove 808 miles yesterday. Made it to Flagstaff last night at 8pm. Here's what we started with in Abilene Texas yesterday morning. Those folks in Texas need need to dig a hole in the ground and crush some rock. I've seen bumpier ice rinks. Road on Wednesday night was a sheet of ice. Only had one scare yesterday. After we hit drive pavement for a while. I picked up the pace to a consistent 80mph. But hit an underpass that was in the shadows. Oh baby, slipped sideways about 3 feet before she caught drive pavement. Navigator says we'll look for a room in Santa Ana. Heading for the Grand Canyon after breakfast. |
