The factory battery cables matched the other ground straps. They were 9" steel braided cables, part number 914-611-904-11. Porsche has discontinued them. NLA
If you do a google search you will find that there are a few companies that sell reproductions. You'll also find that I sell them for the lowest price (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

I have an original unmolested 6 and the battery ground strap looks like this.... so...... You should go look again lol. The picture that you posted isn't even of a battery cable... No seriously, at least do a Google search and check your facts. 914s are known for ground issues. 914s rarely have their original negative battery cables... Even if the one that you have in place looks old, a lot can happen in 45 years. Even if your car is a survivor. |

You have cable 91161189900 1974-89 911 which was likly added by the Porsche dealer in the last 45 years.
