Hey Brant,
IIRC the very early Rivs were only in black backgrounds with the polished (or brushed) trapezoid section at each spoke, but many stripped the paint or repainted the early ones. Later on they had the unpainted & then gold painted initially, but the gold may have been VW offsets for the Super Bug crowd. The way to tell the originals is they have a smooth rim with no lip, requiring the use of adhesive tire balancing weights. They came in both polished (most common) or brushed aluminum finish (like on mine in the avatar if you click it larger). good Luck! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Tom /////// |
