Good and bad issues:
Price- good $1200 complete and running new 2.0 ltr Fakes and new 205/60 Yok's. Includes new Momo wheel.

$500, if he keeps the tires, wheels and Momo. ( I have parts )

Body has rough spots and some rust, too. Surprise!
Started an ran immediately with a jump start after sitting for some time. Drove it around the block. Nothing but rear wheel bearing noise seemed odd. Tracked well, good brakes, smooth accel and clutch action.

Rough interior needs windshield...We'll see.

Update:

the guy calls and says: "give me $300 and pay the balance over the next 10 months".

What would you do?

Definitely pick it up. I wasn't even thinking of picking up another 75 last week and just happen to have seen one on ebay for a great price. I emailed the guy and his dad responded after the auction had completed (with no bids). Anyway, I figured that worst case I can turn around and sell it for the same price. You would most likely be able to do the same. Good luck!

P.S. The only thing I can't decide now is how to sell the other 75 1.8. It has every mod already done to it, including the 5-lug. Do I move everything to the 2.0 or just sell it as is? I really want to do a 6 conversion now too, which is why I bought the new one in the first place.

Send it my way!!! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

I need a 914 that doesn't require smog!!!

and I've got my 76 as a "parts car"

although...a coworker has shown interest in picking up the 76 even after all my discouragement.

If it runs, it's 1000% better than my 76. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

Go for it. Get a $300 advance against a credit card if you need to. Rest over time sounds like a good deal. Parts cars are selling in that range, see Gerards recent post. Runners are worth more.

If nothing else, tie it up and offer it to others on this site.
