I am installing the wiring harness etc on my 76 2.0 engine. I have a thickish black/red wire on the generator harnes that goes to the proximity of the oil pressure switch. The other end of this wire goes to pin 12 on the generator harness connector plug which connects to the relay board . According to the wiring diagram I have pin 12 goes to the fuel pump? I don't think this is correct for my car, does this wire connect to The thin red wire from the auxiliary air regulator?
Help appreciated

What you are calling the 'generator' harness, we call the ignition harness.

All USA ignition harnesses for D-Jet 914s use a white wire on pin 12 to power the AAR. I have seen an otherwise identical factory original harness that had a thick black/red stripe wire on pin 12 for the AAR, it is possible this is a euro harness, I have no other explanation.

Have you found the diagrams for your car on my website for reference?
